Currently the booster dog car seat can only be fitted onto headrests of cars.  So should you have a vehicle without headrests, unfortunately this product will not be suitable for you. The top, sides and base of the seat have a metal/steel piping frame, which is then covered in a padded nylon fabric and a wooden base for supporting the dog once they are in the seat.  The seat is made to collapse for easy storage.

Yes, if you have a normal car, then our dog car seat will sit on the seat quite easily.  If you would like to check this our back strap when fully extended, measures approximately 133cm and our middle strap when fully extended, measures approximately 98cm.

Our dog cushions are an optional extra.  They are not necessary, the dog car seat functions very well without them, they just add extra comfort for your dog.  Some customers however, have a tight budget, so may prefer to use their own blanket, towels, or a soft bed pillow to obtain the same effect.
